The Unknown Tongues are a long-running Cajun and Zydeco band based in the eastern North Carolina fishing community of Gloucester. Band members: Brian Blake: Fiddle, pedal steel guitar, guitar, accordion, and vocals. Barbara Garrity-Blake: Rubboard, guitar, bass, and vocals. Todd Humphreys: Bass and vocals. Tom Parker: Drums.
The band is known for hosting community events, including the annual Gloucester Mardi Gras and the Wild Caught Local Seafood and Music Festival.
